Who we are

Common Ground Friends is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit based in Maine. This policy describes how we handle information on commongroundfriends.com.

Information we collect

Newsletter email addresses. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we store the email address you provide so we can send you updates about screenings, festival news, and our work.

Volunteer form. If you use our volunteer form, we collect your name, email address, and any message you choose to include. We do not collect health information through this site.

Analytics data. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (pages viewed, approximate location, device type). This data is aggregated and does not personally identify you. Google Analytics uses cookies; you can opt out via the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or your browser’s cookie settings.

How we use your information

Newsletter emails are used solely to send occasional updates from Common Ground Friends. We never sell, rent, or share your email address with third parties. You may unsubscribe at any time by contacting us.

Third-party services

This site embeds video from Vimeo and links to external services including Vimeo (film rental) and PayPal (donations). Those services have their own privacy policies and may set their own cookies when you interact with them.

Data retention & security

Newsletter email addresses are stored securely and retained until you ask us to remove them. To request deletion of your data, email us and we will remove it promptly.

Children’s privacy

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
